Book Release Info

I have some exciting news. In case you didn’t see it on Facebook, I’ve officially moved into the editing phase of the conclusion of Sabrina’s story!

Because of this, I can announce I will release Master of My Life in Spring, 2021. Right now it’s looking to be about April.

This date is subject to change, but only to be earlier, not later. The reason for the long editing timeframe is the length of the book. Over 183k words!

I’d originally planned on writing four books for Sabrina’s story, but because of how long it has taken me to finish it, and with feedback from readers, I decided to publish the conclusion as one giant book, instead of two smaller ones.

Enslaved Banned!!!

After almost four years, and more than 56,000 downloads, Enslaved has been banned from Amazon.

I'm not sure why, because Amazon is not transparent when they do things like this. They just refer you to some vague guideline that gives no helpful information. Several fellow authors have suggested that someone must have complained about it. How else would they be looking at a four-year-old book? Perhaps I should be honored that it was worth their time to complain?

I was planning on pulling Enslaved from Kindle Unlimited next month anyway to make it available at all retailers. I guess I get to do this early.

I'm a bit in shock at this and still trying to get my head wrapped around it. I'm overwhelmed by the love and support shown to me in the Facebook world.

We'll make it through this. I'm not freaking out... Trying to see it as an opportunity instead of a setback. If nothing else, controversy breeds free publicity, right?

The Complete Story is still for sale. I've published Enslaved through Draft2Digital to make it available at iBooks, Nook, Kobo, and other retailers.

I have a suspicion as to what might have been offensive, though it does show that not everyone is a careful reader. Thank God they didn't read the rest of the story, right? They would have DIED of HORROR had they read what happened to Anna in Book 4!

I will make adjustments to those parts (in the prologue) and resubmit to Amazon. So, Amazon will have an adjusted prologue, but the rest will remain the same...at least that's my plan.

Maybe it was better that Sabrina was lost to him. She’d been so innocent, so naïve, so young. He had been, too. Back before things changed. Killing people changed you. Even if it was for a good reason, it still changed you. It tainted your soul. Could he ever hope to find a woman who would understand that and not judge him for it? The Life of Anna crosses many genre lines including erotica, suspense, psychological thriller, horror, political conspiracy, paranormal, and romance. Marissa's story of Anna began with a dream about being kidnapped with Adam Savage from Mythbusters (Yes, really). Over the next year and a half, it morphed into the story that is now known as "The Life of Anna." She has also published Distorted Hope, which is based on her kidnapped dream. Abandoned Grace was published last year as a side story to The Life of Anna.

Marissa stays busy running her household, fending off two adorable kittens, and interacting with her readers on social media. She is a self-proclaimed geek and is striving to learn the basics of graphic design. She is also actively pursuing a more natural lifestyle, which includes essential oils, natural cleaning products, and whole, organic foods. Marissa's addictions include the Science and History Channels, anything chocolate mint, vintage books, cute kitty cats and laughter.

I think I've finished Devin's back story. He's certainly not talking anymore. He can't. (mwahahahaha!) It's been quite the bumpy road, but what else can you expect from someone who has been driven insane over the last decade?

Now, comes the polishing... *sigh*
